PSA: Coach bags have never been made in Korea! Did you know?
This is one of the easiest ways to spot a fake Coach bag besides checking if it’s real leather or not. It’s a big reason why seasoned vintage Coach buyers won’t purchase your bag online if there isn’t a clear creed photo.
This photo is from a bag I bought on Depop that was fake 😅🤦🏻♀️ I didn’t ask for a creed photo & paid the price.
Also, if the serial number format is less than 7 numerical positions, it’s fake! Check out my post on Coach serial number formats for authentic serial number formats. Remember modern bags have much longer serial numbers!
Small leather goods usually won’t have a serial number or a creed & some very vintage Bonnie Cashin era bags don’t have the creed stamp or serial numbers either. Some showroom samples and runway bags might be exceptions too!
But made in Korea is always FAKE!
