Goodwill Outlet Portland Main Bags & Accessories Haul

Bags and accessories I found at the bins outside Portland, Maine in September. This was all in one trip! While the mixed home goods/toys/ electronics/ random bins where more challenging to score in, my trained eye didn’t fail me. Celine Cabas Tote Rehab Part 1

This rehab was a little intimidating for me but once I dug in the path became clear, like so many daunting creative problems in the past. First was a vacuum cleaning and a lint paper cleaning of the inside and seams. Next I used the easy suede cleaners to remove any stains and dirt. Removing Logo Embroidery on Bags

Who has removed embroidery from items for resale? 🙋🏻‍♀️ This one is for the newbies and kids in the back. Just seam rip those logo embroiders right off and save a thing or too. If the brand is good enough, things still often sell with logos embroidered into them. Cleaning Suede- Dry Method

Here is an updated how to clean suede -dry method! This is my first step when dealing with suede items. Suede is a porous, unfinished leather that will absorb oils and liquids. Working it dry is always best! Use any brand eraser you like or head to my Tool Kit where I have this and other rehab items linked on my Tool Kit page. Cleaning Suede- Wet Method

I get asked a lot about how to clean suede items. Here is my wet method for cleaning suede bags, shoes, & accessories. This works on a wide variety of stains on suede, but sadly not oil stains. Blog Bonus: You can try to treat oil stains by smothering them with baking soda for a few days to see if any of the oil gets pulled out, but admittedly that might only work best with fresh oil stains. Dying Suede- My First Project

Playing with @angelusdirect suede dyes today. It’s really satisfying to rehab suede with dye. I started with these black shoes to cut my teeth. It was actually very easy. Suede is a porous leather and doesn't require any deglazing or sealing. I would clean the suede item with Angelus Easy Cleaner before if there is any dust or dirt.
